Oh Brother Where Art Thou

My favorite part of Oh brother where art though so far is the baby face guy, I forgot his real name. I think this part of the movie was just a funny add in and had no real purpose to the plot of the movie, but it was funny so it worked. I think the part most like this in the Oddysey is when Oddyses' men kill the cattle of the sun god.

premonitions

I once had a premonition right before my ninth birthday. I dreampt that something bad would happen to someone soon but since it was only a dream I didnt do anything. But when my birthday came we were at the park and i was swinging from the monkey bars or something and then I fell and broke my arm. I dont know if this was an actual preminition though. My belief on premonitions is that someon has a bad dream then because they are nervous there unconious brain makes the person hurt themselves to complete the premonition.

Shakespearean Influence

I think that a movie that is influenced by shakespeares works is The Titanic. This movie is an example of star-crossed lovers because their are two people that are from different social classes and are forbbiden from each other because of the times that they live in and their class.

A shakespeare play that is like this movie is Romeo and Juliet. In both the movie and play they are forbiden from each other although in the play it isnt because of their social class it is because of thier families but its simalar. Also in the end of both the movie and play the two main characters die but for different reasons but there both based on the fact that they love each other.

Anticipating Shakespeare

At first I couldnt understand shakespeare at all but after watching A Midsummers Night Dream Im starting to get used to it although I still cant understand most of what their saying. I always new what the words meant but how the people say them like saying words out of order so they fit into a rhymthmic pattern confuses me. Shakespeare also tries to use more sophisticated words to make it sound better and is confusing.

Overall though I am somewhat exited to start shakespeare because I like the plot of the stories, how there is always something changing and becoming more complicated. Also some of the things he comes up with are just strange like how a woman gets attacted by a lyon then her lover comes in and kills himself becuase he thinks shes dead then she walks back in and kills herself because hes dead.

The worst part of Animal Farm

Personally I think that the worst and most gruesome part of Animal Farm was when Boxer died. Boxer dies while trying to finish the windmill then without a second thought Napoleon sells him to the butcher. This shows that Napoleon dosn't appreciate the other animals and that he only cares about himself because he bought whiskey with the money they got from selling Boxer. The worst part of this I think though is the fact that Boxer was probably the only reason Animal Farm survived for so long in the first place. He was the most loyal and hardworking and all Napoleon was probably thinking was "Im glad it happened right before he was supposed to retire and not before."
