Shakespearean Influence

I think that a movie that is influenced by shakespeares works is The Titanic. This movie is an example of star-crossed lovers because their are two people that are from different social classes and are forbbiden from each other because of the times that they live in and their class.

A shakespeare play that is like this movie is Romeo and Juliet. In both the movie and play they are forbiden from each other although in the play it isnt because of their social class it is because of thier families but its simalar. Also in the end of both the movie and play the two main characters die but for different reasons but there both based on the fact that they love each other.

Brandon I think what you're saying is on the right track but you have the plot wrong. Jack isn't forbbiden from seeing Rose at all Jack wins a ticket to go on the Titanic. Social class has nothing to do in the movie or has any affect on their love. Also Rose lives to tell about the tragedy of the Titanic.

Hey man. I think the movie that you chose would be an accurate one.I dont know why but i have seen that movie like five times. So I think that is a good choice because of the way that Shakspears methods were shown. For instance forbidden love because of a dumb dad and im sure theres a lot more shakespearience in the movie but I cant remember.
